A promising investment destination for Indian technological companies

ETHIOPIA: This country is believed to be one of the fastest growing economies of the world. An outgoing Ambassador of India expressed that with the launch of the new space programme in Ethiopia, India can be a promising partner of Africa in space technology. Mr. Bhagwant Singh Bishnoi, an outgoing envoy at his farewell reception organized by the Indian Business Forum (IBF) in Ethiopia said. “An Indian rocket may carry an Ethiopian satellite into space; that is possible. India’s space launches are much cheaper (than in the West); hence launching micro satellites for Ethiopia is something that I think the two countries should work closely together for.” Worth to mention, putting up the base with East African nation’s for installation of two huge deep-space observatory telescopes in an endeavor to promote space research in the region, Ethiopia has emerged as a hub of Africa’s ambitions in space after South Africa and Nigeria. Mr. Bishnoi articulated that Indian technological companies should actively invest in the immense opportunities accessible in Ethiopia. He added, “The technologies that India brings are affordable, adoptable and suitable for household uses and others depending on the circumstances. There are a lot of things that Indian Industry has to offer.”
