Samsung to bridge digital divide across Africa

Samsung Electronics Co., the leader in advanced semiconductor technology is all set to engage and enhance life across Africa with their endeavor to provide greater medical access, better education prospects, and better-quality economic life for individuals. In this endeavor, Samsung is keenly anticipating the support of governments, NGO’s, local health authorities and other stakeholders in regard to provide potential of digital village project. The company has some components of initiative in Nigeria such as Samsung Engineering Academy. The digital village is said to be offering wide-ranging educational infrastructure, power generation capabilities thus, enabling growth of small businesses and capacity to connect solar energy to minimize running cost, among others to remote villages in Africa.
