Workshop on monitoring and evaluation of UNSCR 1325 underway in Accra, Ghana

The call all over the world for women’s involvement and participation in political, economic and peaceful resolution seems a far cry as many women are still not involved in leadership positions and decision making especially in Africa. To address this concern, a three-day training workshop on the monitoring and evaluation of United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1325 in West Africa is being held in Accra from Wednesday 18th  to 20th , 2014. 

The workshop was organized jointly by the Women, Peace and Security Institute (WPSI), and the West Africa Network for Peace building (WANEP), has been attended by 25 participants from Gender and Social Protection Ministries in 13 countries in the West Africa Sub-Region. Read More...
