Rwandan President to attend US-Africa leaders summit

KIGALI, Aug.4 (TOA) - Rwanda's President Paul Kagame will attend a two-days US-Africa Leaders Summit that is scheduled to quick off Tuesday in Washington DC, by US President Barack Obama, said an official statement issued here Monday.

The Summit, scheduled to take place on 5-6 August, is under the theme: “Investing in the Next Generation."

According to the statement issued to The Times of Africa (TOA) in Kigali, President Kagame will use the opportunity to promote Africa's infrastructural projects which have been earmarked for financing under the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) as agreed at the 14-15 June NEPAD summit that took place in Dakar, Senegal.

In addition, the Rwandan leader will highlight his vision about the continent's sustainable economic growth and hold discussions with Rwanda's technical and financial partners, businesspersons and representatives of the US Congress. Read More....
