KNUST opening opportunities for students in Ghana

Pokuase will now witness Institute of Distance Learning (IDL) which was inaugurated by Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in GH10.5 million Accra.

Professor William Otoo Ellis, KNUST Vice Chancellor, said that he had been implementing progrmmes for the betterment of students and to open a lot of opportunities for them. He said that keeping the motive in the mind to give a platform to students, the classes will be held as it is held in the main campus of KNUST in Kumasi. The complex has 150 seater lecture halls, 120 seater computer and server rooms and several offices and two bed-sitters. He said that the Institute‘s vision is to grant education and training anytime through IDL using multimedia. IDL will be giving degrees in 17 undergraduates with 13 post-graduates programmes. IDL has a total population of about 10,000 in almost 13 different centres. Accra City Center student growth and expansion is generally affected by distance and the charges paid for the facilities of suitable facilitation rooms. Read More....
