Enhancing Palm Oil and Irish Potato Production in Cameroon

Cameroon and ADB FCFA have decided to jointly fund the Grassfield Project II activities in an effort to develop agriculture sector and alleviate poverty in the North West region. The project is expected to improve the conditions of the North West region.

Launched in Tubah/Santa and Widikum Production basins is an ambitious project to boost palm oil production by developing 1,610 hectares of palm oil fields, planting of a new oil mill and rehabilitation of the old mill. 

The project will upsurge the capacity of the Widikum basins by the plantation of 300,000 new cocoa seedlings, accompanied by 40 cocoa driers. Around 300 hectares of cassava farms will also be developed. Read More...
