HIFA: Ready to thrillTHE 2015 edition of the Harare International Festival of Arts (HIFA) roars into life next week, in what promises to a thrilling affair for arts lovers.

Running under the theme “Articulate,” the week-long annual festival will be held on 28 April to 3 May in the capital Harare.

Various local, regional and international arts and culture artists will take part in a number of arts genres ranging from theatre, dance, music, circus, street performance to fashion, spoken word and visual arts.

Manuel Bagorro, the founder and artistic director of HIFA said this year’s edition will be among the best in the history of the festival, adding that the event presents a good opportunity for people to “rise above words to articulate the most poetic aspects of being human.”

“This is our opportunity to articulate who we want to be, so speak up,” he said.

The main act will come from Kalif Keita – an international music icon and Afro-pop star who hails from Mali. Read More...
