The Value of Human Capital in the Tourism Sector“The development of the tourism sector cannot be conceived without the quality of human capacity which is very important for hospitality industry”   Dar es Salaam - December 17, 2015 – The growth of the tourism sector depends on the hospitality industry to a large extent as the hospitality business is extremely bound to human capital in order to satisfy the customers and develop properly.

Speaking with the journalists, Mr. Andrea Guzzoni, Country Manager of JovagoTanzania explains that human capital is an important aspect of the hospitality industry as it ensures the ability to perform labor so as to produce economic value. “The hospitality industry needs to be equipped with the best cadre of service providers so as to attract customers and grow the tourism industry”   Mr. Guzzoni added that,“Language skills, both local and foreign still pose a challenge.

The employees need to have good communication skills sufficient enough to satisfy the needs for their customers”. Since hospitality is not provided by machines but by humans, there is a great need to develop hospitality management skills by viewing human capacity as an investment.
