Development of Africa

Development of AfricaThe UN’s Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) have prioritize the development of Africa and a lot has to be done to fulfill the needs of the people of Africa. The United Nations forge ahead to work through the MDGs to intensify Africa. Many progress has been made to the vicinity by many MDGs, in particular on education, gender equality and the empowerment of women and strive HIV\AIDS and other diseases. There will be many challenges that Africa has to control which includes, the spread of the Ebola virus, which, if not contained, could negatively impact Africa's development.

Significant progress has been made towards amalgamating peace and security in Africa, and intensify its democratic institutions. Still prodigious work will have to be done before Africa is truly secure and peace. Ac MSGs culminate, the UN is now working with Africa to emphasis on sustainable future.

It is collaborating with the African Union inclusive of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) and the regional economic communities who developed the African Agenda 2063, a transformative 50 year development agenda instituted in 2013. To help Africa accomplish sustainable development goals. Institutional support has been provided by the United Nations to the High-level Committee of African Heads of State and Government on the Post-2015 Agenda, especially in the formulation of a common African position.

The United nations linger its support to Africa to make the African Peace and Security Architecture operational and contrivance the Human Rights Strategy for Africa and meliorate electoral management and monitoring. Read More....
