As you all are aware, for centuries India and South Africa have enjoyed a very close and multifaceted relationship. With both the countries giving greater emphasis on increasing South-South Cooperation, it is important to know each other’s business environment in detail.

South Africa is India’s second largest trading partner in the African continent, with bilateral trade growing from US$ 7.5 billion in 2008-09 to US$ 11.79 billion in 2014-15.

The two countries are engaged in various multilateral fora such as IBSA (India, Brazil, South Africa), G-20, and BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) and have a common approach on many global issues, including the future of multilateralism, South-South Cooperation, etc.

Against this background, the Interactive Session would provide an excellent opportunity for the participants to get a firsthand knowledge about Trade & Investment Opportunities in South Africa and the B2B meetings with the relevant South African companies will provide you an opportunity to explore possibilities of business collaboration.

The delegation would be led by a Senior Official from South Africa (details would be shared in due course of time). The list of participating South African companies and their business interests is attached for your information.
