Markets leading pan-African trade finance gathering attracts over 300 business leaders to Cape Town

Markets leading pan-African trade finance gathering attracts over 300 business leaders to Cape TownRegarded as the market’s leading pan-African trade finance gathering, GTR Africa Trade Finance Week 2016 returns to Cape Town for its tenth year to build on its established reputation on March 2-4.   Throughout the last decade the conference has provided the international trade finance community with an unrivalled forum for open discussion and debate on Africa’s trade potential and its priorities for the future.

Produced by the world’s leading news source, publisher and event organiser for the global trade, commodity, export and supply chain finance industries, Global Trade Review (GTR) is pleased to welcome over 65 speakers, over ten key partners and 21 sponsors including Deutsche Bank, Standard Chartered and Standard Bank to be featured across the three day event.

Welcoming over 300 delegates from various trade and finance sectors, and with on and off-stage participation from the continent’s leading corporates, FIs, regulators, risk managers, lawyers, insurers and all supporting sectors, the event will provide an ideal meeting point for anyone involved in the development of one of the world’s most exciting and promising regions in which to do business.

“As befits a continent of over 50 widely differing countries, there is much to consider when discussing African trade, whether it's the continuing impact of the global commodity downturn, changing relationships with the likes of the US and China or the ongoing process of industrialisation and development of a viable manufacturing sector," says Jeff Ando, Associate Director and Head of Conference Production at GTR. "We look forward to discussing all this and much more in what promises to be an engrossing few days."

This year’s event will include the annual GTR Africa Trade & Export Finance Conference 2016, GTR Africa Leaders in Trade Awards, GTR Masterclass and various supporting networking events. Day one of the event will be a separate workshop covering innovations in financing developments in across Africa, followed by the two day conference highlighting timely topics in trade finance today. The brochure including the event agenda is available for download on the GTR website. Read more....
