Cote d'Ivoire rolls out welcome mat for President PranabAs Indian President Pranab Mukherjee stepped out of his special jet, he received a warm welcome by President Alassane Ouattara. President Pranab arrived in Abidjan on 14th June 2016, and was accorded a red-carpet welcome. As both the leaders shook hands, President Ouattara embraced the Indian Premier, who was dressed in black churidar, emphasizing the warmth of their relationship.

Cote d’Ivoire was engrossed by a profound sense of exhilaration for the first ever visit by an Indian President to this country.

The Indian and Ivorian flags were flapping in an orderly manner across the city. As a part of their meeting, they signed an agreement for setting up regional office of Export-Import Bank of India (EXIM) in the Capital city.

It’s a matter of pride that President Pranab Mukherjee has received the highest award of Cote d’Ivoire. There is no question that President Pranab's visit would be a boost to Cote d'Ivoire confidence in further firming up the fine and friendly relations exiting between the two countries. Read more...
